The Convention Site Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating the GCICA National Convention, including selecting future locations, shaping the event structure, and overseeing overall execution. The committee works closely with convention host(s) or co-hosts, manages the planning timeline and logistics, and establishes subcommittees—such as the Auction—to support various aspects of the event. It also identifies and assigns individuals to lead specific convention activities. The Committee Chair leads all planning efforts, maintains awareness of budget considerations, collaborates with the Treasurer and Finance Committee, and ensures the convention aligns with the mission and standards of GCICA. To operate effectively, the committee may create subcommittees, delegate responsibilities, and introduce new ideas to enhance the convention experience. Each year, the committee provides a newsletter article outlining upcoming convention details, planning highlights, and opportunities for member involvement and volunteering.
